Woodsman Low Emission Burners

(LEBs) produce less than 1.0g of emissions per kilogram of fuel burned and operate at over 65% efficiency. They have been the most common type of wood burner in Canterbury for many years, but are now being phased out across most Clean Air Zones.

Properties under 2 hectares: Only Ultra-Low Emission Burners (ULEBs) are permitted.

Properties over 2 hectares: A council permit may still allow installation of an LEB in Clean Air Zones.
